Inspiring stop motion

Image
I like this stop motion because it looks very realistic and at some points the stop motion is unrecognizable. Furthermore, the story isn't very long but it is very intriguing and I enjoyed the editing.  In this stop motion I liked the use of the claymation and the simplicity of it while also being quite well made. Also I liked the comedy a lot. This is a stop motion thatI found to be quite fascinating as they use pictures of them in the air quite a bit which would be hard to do but also they are around my age so they must've been pretty good at making stop motions.

Project 11- Magazine Mockup

Image
My groups magazine is based around travel and nature. My contributions to the magazine include making two spreads one with an ad on each page and the other being an article for the magazine(as seen above). I created them using pictures which I had already taken in the past and creatively finding ways to transform them into something that I was able to use for the spreads.

Project #10 - Portrait Photography

Image
This is one of the commercial portraits that I took. It is a commercial for allergy medicine and I thought it worked quite well with the colors in the photo and how they compliment the product, as well as how the product doesn't have to be shown but could be present in the photo.  For this fine art portrait I liked the blue background and how it worked really well with the subject. Then, while editing I liked when i took out the blue from the background because then it made a very nice contour of her shadow. This is the second commercial portrait of my math teacher, being how he is, he told me that he never smiled in photos and hence I needed to add one onto him for it to seem realistic and to seem like he enjoyed the product. to further show how it was a commercial I put the product logo in large text to make it stand out. Finally, in this fine art portrait I wanted to highlight the subject and something that represents them. To do so, I made the background balc...

Fine Art vs. Commercial Portraits

Image
by Unknown This is a commercial with Woody Allen for the company Smirnoff where he is no in the center and the focus I would say is more on the alcoholic product instead of on the film director/actor and he is there as "the money maker". Whereas, is the Fine Art picture there is only him with his face close to the camera and nothing to distract you from the subject of the photo, even the background is blank putting emphasis on him and what he's wearing. Also in the commercial portrait, the background, although bland, compliments the product and sort of hides the person in it making the product stand out even more. Furthermore, the commercial is not too clear and the fine art is very detailed, although this may be due to the fact that one is taken years after the other. by Philippe Halsman
